EVENT LOCATION

The Be The Light 5K event will be staged on the Southern field of the West Creek Park, the park is located in the West Creek community off Copper Hill Drive. Below are important directions, tips, and parking information to help you get to the event.

Parking within the park is limited, the following parking zones have been designated for the event. We highly recommend to buddy up and carpool to the event to help ensure there is enough parking.

FROM INTERSTATE 5 FREEWAY

Get off at Magic Mountain Parkway
- If Northbound 5 (from LA) - turn left at offramp and under the freeway
- If Southbound 5 (from Castaic) - turn right at the offramp
Right on The Old Road
Right on Rye Canyon/Copperhill Dr
Right on Rio Norte Drive
Park at first available parking spot
Walk to West Creek Park

FROM MCBEAN PKWY (SCV)

Head north on McBean Parkway (to the end)

TIPS

CARPOOL

Please try to carpool or get dropped off to ensure there is enough parking, we encourage everyone to carpool to the event. If you are participating with friends or family then buddy up and ride in one car to the event. Need a ride? Ask on the Facebook Event.

ARRIVE EARLY

Plan to arrive early to allow extra time for parking, check-in, visiting our sponsor booths, bathroom stop, and pre-race activities including a chance to win raffle prizes!

Race festivities start at 2:00 PM, 10K starts at 6:50 PM, 5K starts at 7:00 PM, and the award ceremony starts at 8:30 PM.

DROP OFF ZONE

The West Creek Park and neighborhood is great for dropping off participants if you can be dropped off and picked up after the event that would be very helpful to save parking for those who can't be dropped off.

SAFE & SECURE

Do not block any driveways, businesses, or cars, do not park outside of designated parking zones, cars will be towed. Lock your car and do not leave any valuables visible. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

PARKING ZONES

Parking is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please carpool to the event or arrange to be dropped off to help ensure there are enough parking spaces. The map above highlights all the available parking areas with details on each below.

STREET

There are several neighborhood streets around and nearby the park with street parking available including Rio Norte Dr, Parkside Dr, Vista Del Rio Dr, and Camino Del Arte Dr. Parking on either side of these streets in the designated areas. Do not blocking any driveways.

SCHOOL

The largest parking lot space available at Rio Norte School parking lot. Once full, the lot will be closed.
